Low growing ornamental poppy species with flowers of bright orange and yellow colours and fine blue-green and very decorative feathery leaves. The chalice-shaped flowers only open properly in full sunlight. Loose, sandy, porous soils in a sunny site is ideal. Very drought resistant. All parts of the plant are poisonous.

Our partner farm Rose Saatzucht is located in the north of Erfurt. There, Annegret Rose has been passionately growing and propagating her impressively beautiful peonies for many years. Before a root can be lifted for sale, the perennial grows in her fields for around 6-7 years. Since 1993, the traditional farm has been cultivating a wide variety of over 200 different types of vegetables, herbs and flowers under Demeter guidelines for seed production.
