The dill variety 'Bob' is suitable for growing dill tips, bunched and potted dill and seed dill. The plants can grow up to 1.20 m tall. Amount of seed needed for planting in the ground 80-120 g/100 m², around 100 seeds per linear metre. For dill tip production this can be increased by up to 400 g/m² and the row spacing can be reduced. Seeds sown in summer flower quickly. Also available as seed discs.Dill seeds take about 2 weeks to germinate and only require a light covering with soil. Dill needs full sun in the garden, but also a good water supply. Only plant in the same spot every second or third year. Dill is a good companion plant, e.g. for cucumbers, carrots or onions. Leave some plants to flower. Its delicate yellow umbels look pretty and are a feast for many insects. Dill self-seeds in suitable locations. Also available as seed discs.
