Barley (Hordeum vulgare) belongs to the sweet grass family. The young barley grass contains a wealth of vital substances and can be used in many ways as food.
Cultivation: Barley grass is easy to cultivate indoors on a bright windowsill or outdoors in a bed. Before sowing, soak the seeds overnight and then spread them closely together in the soil. Keep the sowing moist. After 7 - 10 days, the harvest can begin.
Tip: Cut the young barley grass once it has grown to a height of approx. 15 - 20 cm. You can enjoy it chopped up in salads or pureed together with ripe fruits as a delicious smoothie. The fresh taste of the stalks can be wonderfully combined with all kinds of fruit and vegetable juices.
The content is sufficient for: approx. 3 vessels à 12 cm diameter.
