Sowing timeline for November

What can I sow now?

In November, the gardening year transitions into the cold and dark season, the garden gets its well-deserved rest, and the sowing list is correspondingly short. However, a few crops are still possible, but the seedlings now have to be moved to the greenhouse, cold frame, or windowsill.

If you would like to start planning for next season now, you will find a general sowing and planting calendar to print out or save (PDF, 2 MB).

What can I harvest now?

If you have sown and planted winter vegetables between April and September, winter is also harvest time. We recommend our seed collection winter vegetable garden.
