Where do the seeds come from?

Initiative Group meeting summer 2022

The farms which produce seed for the Biodynamic and Organic Vegetable Seed Initiative Group

Around 90 farms producing biodynamic and organic seed are currently part of the Initiative Group. Bingenheimer Saatgut AG coordinates the production and then markets the seed.

Members meet twice a year to share their experiences of producing seed and discuss issues of common concern. Most producers hold shares in Bingenheimer Saatgut AG thereby demonstrating their connection to the firm. Bingenheimer Saatgut AG sees itself as serving the common goals of the Initiative Group and Kultursaat e. V. The aim of those involved is to make a wide range of organic seeds available and promote the breeding and distribution of biodynamic varieties.

The place where each variety has been grown is also indicated. You will be able to find this information together with the name of the farm's certification body (Demeter, Bioland, etc.) in the Online-Shop under "Origin".
