Granat is a fast-growing red cabbage with storage potential until the end of December. It can also produce good yields in areas with a shorter growing season. Features well ripened, healthy leaves and uniform heads, with a fine flavor.

At the Walsegarten farm, Sebastian Vornhecke propagates seeds based on biodynamic principles. The farm is located in Dietzenrode, at the western edge of Thuringia near the Werratal, approximately 30 km south of Göttingen. The surrounding landscape is shaped by the forested ridges of the Hainich.
