Winterriesen/Verdil is a large leaved, second early spinach variety with rather tender leaves. Particularly suitable for autumn and winter cultivation. Very characteristic leaves with pointed tips at the lower end. Flavour is particularly aromatic and therefore best used raw in salad.

The Bioland family farm Rose-GbR-Kühren in Aken, in the Kühren district, is partly located within the 'Mittelelbe' Biosphere Reserve in Saxony-Anhalt and has been operating according to ecological principles since 1991.
Our partner farm Rose Saatzucht is located in the north of Erfurt. There, Annegret Rose has been passionately growing and propagating her impressively beautiful peonies for many years. Before a root can be lifted for sale, the perennial grows in her fields for around 6-7 years. Since 1993, the traditional farm has been cultivating a wide variety of over 200 different types of vegetables, herbs and flowers under Demeter guidelines for seed production.
